Step through the magic door and take your class on an adventure back in time! Developing historical enquiry skills through role-play, artefact-handling and investigation.

Through years of experience in primary education, we know that children learn best when they are enthused, engaged and actively-involved in their learning! We’re passionate about providing children with real experiences to enable them to understand the past and to inspire their curiosity about history. Most of all, we think learning should be fun!

Let us enthuse your class by getting hands-on with our huge range historical artefacts and resources, as we bring the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of history into your school, with our fully resourced and risk-assessed days.

Planned and delivered by a qualified primary teacher, our full day outreach workshops are carefully developed in line with National Curriculum objectives so that not only are they inclusive and engaging, but also have a core educational value.

Our workshops can cater for up to 90 children/3 classes per day, with hands-on history workshops aimed at KS1 (Florence Nightingale/Toys) and KS2 (Ancient Egyptians/Anglo-Saxons/Vikings/WW2).

We cover Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, parts of North Wales and Warwickshire. Get in touch to find out if we can travel to you!

What People Say

I just wanted to extend my thanks for the workshop yesterday... the feedback I have been given by staff members has been brilliant. The children loved it, it was incredibly well resourced and you were extremely knowledgeable about the subject. We will definitely be contacting you again next year when we do the topic again.
Year2 teacher, Sneyd Academy, Florence Nightingale workshop.
The magic door education WW2 workshop is a must experience for any Primary class! Emma brings history to life, engaging children from the very first moment until the end. The resources and artifacts Emma brings allow the children to be real historians exploring what life was like during WW2. Our children could not stop talking about the experience and could feed back so much information they had learnt.
Year 5 teacher, St. Luke's CE Academy, WW2 workshop
Your workshop was brilliant, you blow my socks off! Throughout the day, we did many extraordinary and factual things that the Anglo-Saxons would do. My favourite part was re-enacting Beowulf!
