PRIMARY
Our workshops designed for primary-aged children can be customised to fit your school timetable and requirements. We offer flexible options, including shorter sessions that can cover the entire school or focus on specific year groups. Our Crime Scene Challenge days also act as an amazing way to launch into topics such as Crime and Punishment or as part of an Endeavour Day.

We offer a variety of Crime Scene Challenges that can be adapted to suit different age groups and needs. These workshops cover a range of scenarios, from theft to murder, and give students a hands-on experience with real investigation processes used by detectives and forensic crime scene investigators. Activities include reading and analysing statements, phone records and bank statements, as well as collecting and powdering for fingerprints, analysing shoe marks, DNA, and much more.

These workshops align with both the English and Science curriculum and provide a real-life context to inspire and engage students in their learning. The workshops encourage scientific thinking, enhance vocabulary, and develop English – reading and comprehension skills, as students read factual accounts and piece together information.

Furthermore, the workshop fosters teamwork, requiring collaborative efforts to build a compelling case against potential suspects.

SECONDARY / FURTHER / HIGHER EDUCATION
Our workshops designed for secondary education and upwards can be tailored to fit your specific schedule and requirements. We offer flexible options, including shorter sessions that can accommodate any number of students or specific year groups/cohorts. These workshops can be incorporated into enrichment days, career days, gifted and talented programs, and sessions targeting hard-to-engage students.

We provide a range of Crime Scene Challenges that vary in complexity and can be adjusted to different levels and needs. Students in all cases will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that simulate real investigation processes used by detectives and forensic crime scene investigators. This will enhance their studies, putting their learning into real life context. This includes collating and analysing statements, developing theories and lines of enquiry, phone records, and bank statements, as well as collecting and powdering for fingerprints, analysing shoe marks, DNA, odontology and more.

Our workshops align with English, Science, PSHE, Law and Criminology curriculum, offering a real-life context to inspire and engage students in their learning. It also inspires students to consider linked career paths and areas of further study.

Additionally, we have scenarios which can also be used to address elements of Social Development programmes. These workshops address contemporary issues that affect young people today, such as Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), and Serious Youth Violence (SYV) as well as Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), by providing a vehicle for pupils to discuss themes such as drug dealing, internet safety, bullying, gangs, honey traps, and joint enterprise. These issues are explored in pupil led brainstorming and open discussion drawn out by the scenario.
