Bollywood Vibes

Popular

The UK's Leading School Provider for Indian dance workshops which are for early years, KS1 and KS2. Specialising in Bollywood, Bhangra and Classical Indian dance, our workshops are great for boys and girls, suitable for all abilities and ages and most importantly, lots of fun!

We also make it very educational for the children so that they can learn about Indian Culture. Your teacher will also come dressed in a Bollywood outfit and bring colourful scarves for everyone to wear (where possible).

Our workshops are very popular around South Asian Heritage Month. At Diwali time, we do specific Diwali themed workshops in schools learning about the Festival of Lights and it's wonderful traditions which we link to the dance.

We get the children dressed up with some hips scarves which we bring, to get them all into the Bollywood spirit. We will also leave a Bollywood playlist with the school so you can listen to all the songs again and use them for future dance sessions.

Each workshop can be approx 30-45 mins long, this can be shortened to 30mins for Key stage 1, and longer for Key Stage 2 and 3. We can also teach each class a routine that they can perform at the end of the day in assembly or to the parents.

The structure of the workshops involves:

▪ Introduction for the students on the background to Indian culture and Bollywood dance
▪ Warm up and stretch
▪ Teaching Classical hand gestures and foot movements
▪ Learning a Bollywood dance routine with the Students working together to create a performance for the end of the workshop/day/week
▪ All music will be provided by us and also will be the popular Indian tracks used in the movies

All our teachers are CRB checked.

All workshops and teaching sessions are carried out by a trained professional Bollywood dance teacher who will work on the creativity of the dance form, bringing in technique and fun. We believe it is very important to encourage students to embrace their creative ideas.

What People Say

The children really enjoyed Bollywood Vibes's visit. Each class was fully engaged and loved learning about where the dance routine originated from and the steps. Since their visit the children have been teaching their families and other children in the playground

On behalf of Prince Albert school and myself I would like to thank you so much for your workshop today. It was brilliant!! The feedback I have had from the teachers and children from both year groups has been amazing. Coming from someone that has only started to get this experience of this type of dancing let alone the culture, it has been amazing and I know all the children have absolutely LOVED it!!!!!! Once the parents picked them up from school, the children began to do the dance for them!
