Blue Badge Bunch – Performance & Workshop
Blue Badge Bunch is a kids show that gives panelists and audiences the opportunity to experience different disabilities by playing interactive games such as 'The Big Draw’, where panellists (and audiences) draw with their bare feet, ‘Jamie’s Gamey’ where you work out sentences made with a speaking aid, and ‘Audio Destruction’, where you're blindfolded and the team describe images to you to identify.
Blue Badge Bunch with host Benny Shakes gives groups the chance to hear Benny’s story, play games from the show and think about how disability affects people. Participants will even get to come up with their own games – some of which may even be used on stage by the Blue Badge Bunch team!
Led by Blue Badge Bunch host, Benny Shakes, who has Cerebral Palsy and/or resident panellist Mark Nicholas who is autistic. Benny and Mark are both comedians and performers who have many years’ experience of working with young people with a range of different ages and abilities in schools and community settings.
